Photographs

Wellenough

To finally start this blog off, I decided that I am going to post photos from a five day, black and white photo challenge I’m participating in.

The first was two days ago, here’s the photo I posted:

Years ago, when I worked and played at The Last Temptation in Kensington Market, this gargoyle named ‘Wellenough’ was the constant companion of the bar staff and barflies alike. When he was moved to the basement storage area I asked if I could have him. Now he is my constant companion. He used to hold candles and usually had hot wax running down his face and body. I cleaned him up and can’t bear to put another candle in his head.

‘Wellenough’ has moved with me through several apartments two city changes and numerous emotional changes. He remains the same; contemplative, fantastical, and just slightly unnerving.
